Bad! Worse! Catastrophe!

Disastrous!
Our experience at this hotel was simply awful. We were forced to change rooms twice because everything was dirty and run down. The bathroom was in a state of disrepair and the bed felt like concrete. The building itself was old and worn, with cables hanging everywhere. The pictures on Booking.com were misleading and did not reflect reality at all.
What was worse, when we wanted to leave the hotel, the owner refused to refund our money, even though the defects were obvious. Her unprofessionalism was frustrating and disappointing.
I strongly advise against staying here. It was a terrible experience and definitely not worth the money we paid.

Awful

Avis julies studio
For years, we visit Greek islands with a group of 10 friends. We always had good to excellent housing experiences in each of the places we visited, until we arrived in Julie's Studios on September 6th for 9 nights. That was an horrific experience. We had to call the police and only solved the issue with the owner at Chania police headquarters. We booked 5 rooms in Spring, and made a deposit of 500 euros by bank transfer. One hour before arriving in Chania, we called the host to inform her of our arrival time. When we arrived, no-one was there to give us the rooms keys. We had to phone her again and then wait for 40 minutes in the street (there is no lobby; the "front desk" is a table and two chairs at the bottom of the stairs). Once there, the host refused to show us the rooms before we first pay in advance the remainder of the bill (2500 euros) in cash (BTW this is totally illegal: the European laws specify that any transaction beyond 1000 euros must be paid by electronic means). This request was of course not specified at the time we booked the room, and we had not such an amount of cash. After a long discussion, we finally had our keys after an extra paiement of 500 euros cash. On the next day, since the host insisted for being paid in advance and in cash, and threatened to throw us out of the studios after one night even though we had already paid for three nights, we ended up calling the police to settle the issue.
Apart from the very aggressive and unfriendly behavior of the host, we can add that the studios are not too clean. The mugs contained dried leftovers of coffee and the pans were greasy, so we preferred to clean all the mugs, glasses, forks, spoons... before using them . We cannot say whether the grayish color of the bathroom towels is their original color or is due to remaining dirt. Some of the balconies was so dirty we did not even dare using them. And I could continue with many other examples....
Regarding the building itself, although it is much younger, it is in a poorer state than many of the fourteenth century Venetian buildings of Chania: rusty pillars, cracks in walls coatings and balconies concrete,....
Our vacation went well: after two nights in this poor place, we left and found housing in very nice apartments with charming owners, for a 20% lower price.
In conclusion, if you ever consider booking a room in Julie's Studio, look for something else. You cannot find worse for the same price. Anything else you'll find will be better.

Stay away!

The studio we stayed in was below any standard of accommodation I have ever stayed in.
A small room with dismal kitchen, the worst bed (prison style) and horrid bathroom.
No shower head in the bathroom, a horrid shower curtain, broken floor and wall tiles.
The building inside is dismal, and was actually scary at night.

A dirty hotel..

parking issue:
I arrived to Chania at 6:30 AM in the morning, so I drived to the hotel and I see no parking space for my car, so I parked my car at the sidewalk next to the coffee bar, I know it's forbidden to park but I have no choice, I have called the owner of the hotel and they said I can park around the building, but when I parked at a space that is next to the building, the owner of the coffee bar told me that it's forbidden to park, so I have kept my car at the sidewalk. After we went for a walk waiting for the checking, when we come back, the host said that I got a traffic ticket from the police because of parking at the sidewalk, I told them that you said I can park arround the building but the coffee shop owner told me is forbidden, where do you want me to park? they ask me again to park at the square next to the building again, and I did not found the square they told me...
inside the room:
the room was really old, the paint is falling off from the wall, but I didn't really care about that, but the kitchen supplies were extreme dirty, the dirts and oils can found on all the supplies such as spoons, forks etc.
and also the price is not cheap though.

THE WORST APARTMENT/STUDIO EVER BEEN.

THE WORST APPARTMENT/STUDIO EVER BEEN.
I was given another room than the one I paid for, smaller and not sea view as stated in my booking and paid for.
Dirty kitchenware and bathroom. Kitchenware had absolutely NOT the basic things someone can reasonably expect (e.g. only one (not sharp) knife)
The host completely did not care about the guest and absolutely not tried to help at all.
