I have stayed here on five occasions and absolutely love it. It is a beautiful village on the beautiful Greek island of Kefalonia.
Skala is a rather featureless, modern town which has a number of good restaurants and bars, together with some reasonable hotels. Skala developed in it's current location after the infamous 1953 earthquake which devastated Skala Old Town about a mile or so inland and uphill. It makes a good base to visit the islands beaches and other attractions.
very long beach for very long walks. lots of restaurants and bars but very family freindly.
