A beachside resort town a short 30-minute trip outside the Latvian capital, Jurmala is a lovely place to relax in good weather, and entirely charming, if a little dull. The wooden houses of the town center are lovely, but take the rhapsodizing about it by locals in Riga with a grain of salt.
Review by Latatlas website: http://www.latatlas.lv e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org Jurmala coast has white, clean quartz sand beaches, pine forests and dunes. In summer season open-air cafes are operating at the main Jurmala beaches, water and sports equipment is available to rent. Main places that are recommended to be visited are: -Jomas street (the majority of shops and restauraunts at this street are architectural monuments); -Dzintari Concert Hall (is evaluated as on of the best constructions in Europe because it ensures excellent acoustics, during summer season various concerts and events take place in the concert hall); -The sculpture "Turtle"; -Jurmala city museum (exhibitions about resort life from the end of the 19th century); -Jurmala open-air museum (demonstrates typical fishermans' household at the end of the 19th century); -The nature park of Ragakapa (park is unique because of its age-old pine trees, rare species of birds and animals).
Go to Baltic sea coast, like Jurmala in Latvia, here you get pristine nature, long sandy beaches (although quite a cold sea), healthy and natural food and good, reasonably priced spa treatments.
Very nice place!:)) I went there in summer on the New Wave Contest that was GREAT!:))
