Terminal Information – Arriving
Budapest Airport is located 25 km from the city centre and can be reached by a host of local bus services costing from 450 HUF or via the train station in Terminal 2. This takes approximately 30 minutes. Car hire and taxis are also available for hire from the airport.
When you arrive in Budapest Airport, be prepared for a huge array of shops to choose from selling everything from watches and music to gifts, souvenirs, designer fashions, duty free, toys, kids fashions, traditional Hungarian produce, diamonds and technology. There is a spa, a hairdressers and a beauty salon. Places ot eat include fast food outlets, a choice of bars, cafes, food markets, juice bars, restaurants offering Greek to Italian and sandwich shops.
The airport offers baby changing, free WiFi, luggage wrapping, post office, currency exchange services and you can find rental cars, or pick up your pre-booked car.
You need to bring your passport with you when you’re flying out-with the UK. There are printers in the check-in area of Bristol Airport, so there’s no need to panic if you forget to print your boarding pass. If you have a smartphone you can store your boarding card electronically on your phone, security can scan the e-barcode, and you don’t need to worry about paper at all.
We recommend giving yourself plenty of time at the airport, so try not to arrive any later than one hour before your flight is due to depart. Queues at security are longer at weekends and during school holidays, so it’s worth giving yourself some extra time.
