Terminal Information - Departing
For Ryanair flights to Shannon, you will be flying from Terminal 3 at Manchester Airport. This is one of the smaller terminals in the airport, handling many domestic and European flights. As you enter, you'll need to go up the lift or escalators for the check in desks, then you can proceed to security. This is usually a speedy process, unless you're travelling in commuter hours.
There's a handful of shops and restaurants in Terminal 3. If you're peckish, there's a trattoria Milano, and Costa is always open for early morning coffees. Boots, Dixons and duty free are also there if you get to the airport nice and early too. Fancy relaxing? The Escape Lounge is where you'll find an array of breakfast treats, comfortable seats and the daily papers. It costs €25 to enter the lounge on the day of your trip, but €21 in advance.
Manchester Airport is located south of Manchester. It's now connected to the city with a tram service, but there's also a train line running directly to the airport.

Shannon Airport is the third busiest airport in Ireland, operating both European and transatlantic flights on a daily basis. The Airport itself is fairly compact, and it rarely takes more than 15 minutes to get from your plane to the arrivals hall. There's free Wifi inside the airport, as well as a few restaurants and a bar.

The car rental car park is located 10 minutes outside of the main terminal building, but you can find the desks within the terminal. It costs €8.60 to get to Limerick on this service. It usually takes an hour and 40 minutes to reach Galway Bus Station from Shannon Airport. The 343 also runs to Shannon and Ennis for similar fares.
The airport is just 10km from Cork, the biggest city in the south of Ireland.
