Terminal Information – Departing
You depart from Cork Airport, located 4 miles from the centre of Cork. The journey time by car is approximately 20 minutes but car hire and a local bus and taxi service are also available.
There is a large duty free shopping area located in Cork Airport where you can purchase tobacco, sweets, alcohol, gifts and fragrances. There is also a shop selling snacks and a newsagent for books, magazines and newspapers. For those needing to refuel before departure, Cork Airport boasts a choice of cafes, a bar serving cooked meals and a food market for lighter snacks.
There are also baby changing facilities, WiFi, an airport lounge, currency exchange desk and airport parking.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Lanzarote Airport is located 19km from the centre of Lanzarote. This journey can be done by car in approximately 22 minutes. Alternatively there is a city bus that costs €1.50 for a single journey that takes approximately 25 minutes and also local taxis and cars for hire.
The airport has a large duty free area where you can purchase last minute gifts on the way in and out of the airport, a choice of restaurants and cafes and snack bars and shops selling holiday essentials.
There is also a children’s play area, baby changing, free WiFi, a lounge area and currency exchange desks.
You will need your passport with you when you’re flying out-with the UK. There are printers in the check-in area of CorkAirport, so there is no need to panic if you forget to print your boarding pass. If you have a smartphone you can store your boarding card electronically on your phone. Security can scan the e-barcode so you don’t need to worry about paper at all.
We recommend leaving plenty of time at the airport, so try not to arrive any later than one hour before your flight is due to depart. Queues at security are longer at weekends and during school holidays, so it’s worth giving yourself extra time.
