The majority of their flights are to traditional holiday destinations, with a big focus on Spain, France, and cities across the Med.

Why fly with Jet2

How to check in

Online check in opens 28 days before your flight, and closes five hours before scheduled departure. You can either print your boarding card or download a mobile boarding pass onto your phone. If you've checked in online, but have hold baggage, you can drop it at the airport check in desk. These desks open two hours before scheduled departure, and close 40 minutes before. There's an admin fee for airport check in (or airport boarding pass printing) of €26.

Jet2 aircraft usually have a seat pitch (the space between your seat and the one in front) of 28-29", which is the same as budget airlines like easyJet and slightly below the industry average. You can pre-book extra legroom seats, although the price varies depending on route.

Booking Fees

Jet2 scrapped credit card, PayPal and debit card transaction fees in December 2016.

Service on Board

Hot meals can be pre-booked with prices starting at £7.50. You can order up to 48 hours before departure, and have a choice of 11 adult meals and 4 kids meals. You can also pre-book a bottle of chilled Nicolas Feuillatte champagne to enjoy on board: a great way to celebrate your honeymoon, birthday, or just the fact that you're going on your holidays. You need to give the airline five days notice, but can book bubbly up to three months in advance. Note that you can't buy or drink alcohol onboard Jet2 flights if you're flying before 8am.

Jet2 flights are reasonably punctual, recording an average delay of just under 17 minutes during 2016.
